IT Carlow wins 3rd Level 'Safety in Design
and Construction' Competition 2011/2012 |
| A team of students from IT Carlow has won the 2011/2012 ‘Safety in Design and Construction’ competition aimed at 3rd level students in construction related undergraduate programmes. The final was held in Dublin’s Ashling Hotel on Wednesday 1 st February, where six short-listed teams battled it out to win the first prize of €3,000. |
| NUI Galway won the runners-up prize of €2,000. Third place went to Letterkenny IT. The remaining finalist teams received €1,000 and certificates of commendation. Other 3rd level institutions represented in the final included Cork IT and two other teams from IT Carlow. |
