Project Activity: Assembly of Germination and Kiln Vessels - Design and Construction of Central Roof Support Structures.
Challenges:
To support assembly of 30m diameter steel roof configuration below centre point at a height of 10.5m within cylindrical vessels.
Scaffold tower to bear a construction load of 95kN during roof assembly.
To ensure lateral stability of central support tower with a base plan of 2100mm x 2100mm as steel roof elements are craned into position.
Rigidity of roof structure during construction stage dependent on support tower until all plates are installed and fully welded.
